Three Possible Goals (split into bite size pieces)

Long Term Goal: Become a resident dance columnist at a reputable newspaper.
Short Term Goal (this year): Publish one article in a local paper.
This Month:
-Speak with Phillip Johnson about his contact with the local paper. Since he’s helped students publish articles in the past, he may be willing to help again.
-Check out dance magazines in the University library. Read at least two of them cover to cover.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Long Term Goal: Become a dance educator in an elementary school.
Short Term Goal (this year): Teach one workshop at an elementary school or local community center.
This Month:
-Interview Kate Kuper, who works as a creative movement educator in local schools. Ask her how she got started, what books she recommends, how to best contact schools, and ask for any other spare pearls of wisdom she may have.
-Re-contact Generations of Hope to see if they have any more opportunities for working with the children there.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Long Term Goal: Get paid to write scholarly dance papers.
Short Term Goal (this year): Submit one paper for publication.
This Month:
-Ask Phillip Johnson if his offer to submit your paper (on the Dance of Death) to an online research website still stands.
-Take Yutien Wong up on her offer to help you re-work paper from Dance History (on conceptions of the body) into publishable material.
-Re-read at least one of the books used in research for the above paper (the paper on conceptions of the body).
